Psone LCD darker than original backlight
I'm in a bit of a sticky situation here, I'm using the three LEDS and the 10 ohm resistor. The screen is still quite dark, I can barely see where I'm going in the boulder level of crash bandicoot, the LEDs are wired in parallel. I got the LEDs from superbrightleds.com, does anyone know if theres a certain site that sells better 3mm white LEDs? I'm really confused as to why the light is so dull, from looking through the cracks in the lcd backlight housing it looks like theyre as bright as they can get.

the bightness at max doesn't do it justice for me.Valium wrote:Is the brightness turned all the way up? Even with the backlight removed, the brightness setting still works, it's not as accurate as it is with the original backlight, but it still helps.
If that is still too dark for you, you may want to add more LEDs, I use 4, but some people prefer 6.

i got 12000 mcd LEDs and they seem to be bright enough. you should also try using 4 LEDs, it gives it a move even lighting. you wont need anything extra for 4 LEDs you just wire it in with the others and use the same resistor. i got mine from http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/ ... ts_id=2547 they dont cost much and ship fast. you also might want to buy some extra LEDs just incase you fry them my mistake i did that with mine.
