Ummm........
will SS or LoB or bacteria correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the ultra 64 the oridgional name for the nintendo 64?
Another question sorta off topic, how many members come here to the n64 forum, make about 10 posts or less and then never check again.

ultra 64 was the original name. they changed it to n64 shortly before it was released. it's code name was project reality.
from wikipedia:
"Nintendo dropped "Ultra" from the name on May 1, 1996, just months before its Japanese debut, because the word "Ultra" was trademarked by another company, Konami, for its Ultra Games division."

hmm, interesting. I actually remember when it was coming out I would call it the Ultra 64 since that's the name I had known it by while my friends knew it as the Nintendo 64lovablechevy wrote:ultra 64 was the original name. they changed it to n64 shortly before it was released. it's code name was project reality.

The Revolution was such an awesome name, though. Especially since it was SUPPOSED to be released in similar timing with the gameboy codenamed Evolution. the perfect combo of names. Damn you Evolution, you're the reason I never bought the DS!CronoTriggerfan wrote:Yeah, they decided to "mix it up" with Dolphin and Revolution. I guess the DS codename of Nitro kinda fit with the whole "RADICAL DUDEZ" theme, though...
edit: woah, triple post... sorry guys.
