Dreamcast emulators, burned on a Mac...

Does anyone know the procedure and what programs to use to burn Dreamcast emulators like Nester DC on a Mac? (specifically a newer Intel iMac running OS X 10.5)

I've already tried doing it in Parallels (fail) and on my dads old piece of crap Dell laptop (fail again, somehow). Either way, I want to be able to do it on a mac so I don't have to jump through so many hoops to do it again in the future if I need to. Unfortunately, all the tutorials are written so specifically (to appeal to the lowest common denominator) that I can't translate them to Mac and I don't know what is happening wrong on my dad's PC laptop (could be anything, I don't know, he's really screwed that computer up, it takes like 45 minutes to stop loading when you turn it on).

Essentially,
download the disk image,
convert it to a .dmg, or a .iso file,
Right click on it and choose open with... Disk utility
Then in disk utility
select the image, and in the top left click the big flashing burn button.

well, coincidentally, I came across similar instructions, but for some reason disk utility isn't recognizing it as an ISO (GRRRR!). It recognized the ISO for a Sega CD game, but when I tried to do it with the emulator/roms it tells me "Unable to burn "NINTENDO.ISO". (not recognized)"
