Help with Casio TV-850TR please

First off, I'm pretty new at most of this. I have very little experience with circuit boards and all that jaz, so I wouldn't be to surprised if this weren't even possible, but here goes...

I have a Casio TV-850TR, all gutted and working. There is a chip on it that I believe does the converting from composite video to RGB. I was wondering if there was a way to do away with the bulk of the board(all the tuners and volume and blah blah blah...) and just use the lcd screen and the controller for it. Also, does anyone know how to find out what manufacturer and model number the LCD screen is inside this thing.

Honestly, I'm pretty new to this as well...
BUT, rule of thumb those parts are all there for a reason.
You could desolder all of the tuner boxes, etc. but I wouldn't desolder the volume knob, of the headphone jack, becasue then the speakers won't work.
If you're not working with speakers, go ahead...
But you can't go on ripping stuff off the board that the tv needs to run...
