Well, I am currently wanting to begin work on an SNESp or an N64p, but am in the market for an LCD screen. So while I've been waiting, I have been thinking ( as usual ) about GBC mods. And with a lime green GBC gutted next to me while I disassembled an SNES controller, a thought struck me---combine the two! and so, I had an idea of something like this...

Well except not so much crappy ASCii art. Wow I respect ASCii art more.
You think it's a good idea?

EDIT!
Scratch that to hell. My tired hands just screwed the screen to no return.
Well anywho, its still up for grabs. And any kewl ideas for a white GBA?

I wouldn't take apart my gba for $300, but I would for any higher. but I really think that you should just keep your mind on one project instead of getting 2-3 that never get finished.

Wait, why exactly wouldn't you take it apart for any higher? And were talking just GBA, not SP.

EDIT
I still don't understand with the price... I mean, I got the GBA for free, and I've not screwed up a GBA to this date.

Well, I suppose you could still combine the two if you wanted. Personally, I'd sell the GBA to some sucker who doesn't realize how irritating they really are and get a GBASP.
I agree with the advice about starting one project and finishing it, though. You're getting like a hyperactive kid in a candy store here. You don't have to build everything at once, just do one thing at a time.

@mothatrucka:
Actually, I'm not getting in too deep with any projects... in fact, I still haven't started one. I'm just gathering old systems and parts, and mostly designing them. I would break ground on my SNESp already, but:
1) I don't have a gamebit, and I can't get the bic pen trick to work, and
2) I don't have a screen yet, and don't plan on starting without one.
Also, I already have an SP, but I'm not breaking that open any time soon. I still play it
@Viskid:
That would be even wickeder. Especially if I removed the screen and sunk that area in a bit, so that the SP's top half would almost sit flush. Cool idea.
