FM transmitter parts list?

I have almost no experience with building circuit boards and I need a parts list for this circuit, can someone give me a full parts list and maybe some suggestions? It would be greatly appreciated.

Note: Parts marked with * are used for the tune-up of the transmitter in case you have not a stationary wave bridge.

Or, you could just go buy an FM transmitter for $20 at Wal-Mart.

Those inductors will be a royal pain to come up with, with no values given.

You wont get this working well without a scope and a decent understanding of what fm modulation looks like on a scope. Not with the sketchy amount of information avaliable.

You can definitely find a better schematic that that on the internet.

But consider just buying one, that you can adjust digitally with cool buttons, and then building an amplifier for it.

Would it be easier to buy that one from walmart and put a amplifier on it? I need something pretty high power... And if so where can I find a good amp circuit?

What application did you have in mind? The scale of the use determines if its easier to use the Belkin one, modify it, or build a scratch one.

Well it's for a senior prank... A few people and I want to put it in a hidden location with several transmitting on different frequencies for popular radio stations. And we'll have them transmitting the school song. So I'll need a pretty powerful amplifier. I'm doing all of the hardware for this.

You can probably use a Radio Shack cable TV amplifier to boost the signal (the FM band falls between VHF channels 6 and 7, I think), though you have to watch out for FCC restrictions on unlicensed transmitter power, and you'll need a really strong signal to overpower the station's transmitter. If you plan on putting your transmitter in the school, the concrete, steel, and RF noise from the fluorescent lights will be the main problems, but the feds shouldn't come a-knockin', since it will be more or less limited to the building.

Since that's what you're doing, I highly recommend NOT building anything! If it looks like a jury-rigged, homemade device, there's a very good chance someone will think it's an IED, the school will go into lockdown, and they could trace it back to you. If they do, you'll meet Mr. Expulsion. Not good. (Hey, if an entire city could mistake some LED Lite-Brites as terroristic explosive devices...)

And we'll have them transmitting Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give you Up", and the complete Crazy Frog discography on infinite loop.

Good point on the building stuff. I doubt we'll get caught though, we're going to make them pretty hard to find.

There is always a possibility that someone could see a student stuffing some type of homemade electronics into a small space, and then the cops are called.
