What are the requirments for becoming a seinor member. I was just wondering because i have been a member since 06.

If you were active since 06, you'd be a senior right now. The req is 1000 posts.

Its not like I haven't visited the site generally i am too busy to be able to post regularly. I mean cmon only lately have i had a chance to post a fair amount. I wish i could be here more but schedule just doesn't allow it(Plus my internet sucks Dick's Sporting goods)

It's not 1000, otherwise I'd be one. I'm not sure what it is. 1500 would make sense though.

i dont recall if we have set requirements on it, personally i think it should be based on merit instead of post count (its easy to spam useless crap, not so much to post worthwhile information)

I agree wholeheartedly, especially after having seen some users nearly hit 1000 in just a few months. Anyone can drive up their numbers, but not everyone has something worth reading to say.

I suppose a merit-based system does have its difficulties on a forum this size, though.

its pretty big compared to when i joined it!

back then or even a few years ago we could just give titles to all people who joined before a certian date because pretty much all of them were active and stuff now we have thousands of members and dozens of active ones, i was the 39th person to join this forum!

Yeah, my buddy daguuy joined in '05 and has over 3000 posts and isn't a senior member. I think I heard somewhere that senior member titles were only for people who were on the old pre-benheck forum.

It used to be that way, but changed last year (I think...)
