What's the deal? Is there anything to go on besides one photo? CNN and Foxnews.com both have video, but only of the photo.

Is anyone here good at analyzing an image to see if its photoshopped?

Promotional stunt. Why else would there only be one picture and no videos. might have to do with this.

there is a video on cnn about it. and there are two pictures.

this is rather interesting...

it talks of lots more photos and yet still doesn't show anymore...

here's a site with a supposedly different picture... but it looks... more fake to me than the first...?

I think whatever it is is real, but whether or not it's actually a "creature" or some viral marketing campaign I don't know. After seeing those ditzes who "found" it, though, I'd say it's fake.

Second picture makes it look like a dog that died and then floated around for a few weeks.

That second pic seems to be missing that cloth band that was on the forelegs in the first pic. The one that the lifeguard's friend is supposedly wearing around his neck? lol

The coloration on the back limbs sure matches up, though. Speaking from experience, that is most definitely a canine skull missing its front teeth in that second pic, though. I'm just not sure it's the same animal as the first pic.

maybe this pic was taken after the guy took the cloth as a souvenir.

yeah, it definitely looks like a dog. but if it's the same corpse, why is it so blue on this side...?

Ever see a body dragged out of water? Blue is a very prevalent colour. I'm guessing it's so pale on this side because it was laying on that side for so long.

Here's where I'm really stumped, though. I can see that it's a canine skull, but those sure don't look like dog paws in that first pic. I've heard raccoon, but those are awfully long legs for a coon.

Maybe Plum island really is a genetic research lab. lawl.

Could it be a pig? I can't really define any toes, which would seem to be more of a trait of a hoofed animal, and the snout would seem to be rather short for most canines. Not impossible that it is not a dog, but I'd have to vote that it's a pig myself.
