it wasn't hard, it was just very nervous to me... as my previous attempt failed due to me being retarded... this time i was more retarded in a smart way... since I did manage to get the connector off of my old retro duo i just cut the connector on my good retro duo off... by sawing it in random places until it came off then i just added wires inbetween... wasn't hard, just bleh.

SNES Portable - almost done!!

YAY! I just gotta fix the controls... add in speakers( whenever they arrive) and i'm done!!

... also, i had to re-do my LED mod because i screwed up my headphone jack and sent 7.2 volts though pin 8 on the right connector of the PSone screen... oops?... so I used EIGHT 3mm LED's... nice n bright!

They are _ALL_ flargled up... when I boot up super mario world it exits that little cutscene immediately and goes to the 'save 1, save 2, save 3' like menu... and no controls after that work... even when I disconnect the wires. >_<. Thats bad I guess...

It all started when I was trimming down the controller board on the retro duo.. and i cracked it in half.

So i tried to scratch traces and solder wires but its a real mess... i think my controller is actually fine... as soon as I get a chance I am gonna hook up a standard SNES jack and hook it up to my unmodified SNES to see if the controller isn't the problem...

...actually, Brian, what did you do with that fried retro duo? is there any chance I can buy the controller pcb? :S

I got the new speakers working.. but i'm having a strange issue. :S

When audio signals are coming through andd the speakers are vibrating, the screen wiggles A LOT. When there is no audio coming out the screen is fine though... any help here?

Also, as soon as i get this PCB from LoB I can finish this thing! (And get the sound issue fixed)

is one of your audio lines accidentally connected up to the video? do you have a bridged joint? it sounds like the sound is interfering with the video. so start by looking there. make sure there is no solder accidentally connecting video and audio on the psone board and retro duo board.

Its all been checked... nothing is bridged.. I'll check again though..

Interesting, if i unplug the speakers while its running, the wavyness goes away...

Thats it! But I broke a part of my battery charger. >:{ So i'm going to have to order either just the temperature probe or the entire charger.. again

Actually, I got in trouble at school once for talking about a nesp. My friend said this: Hmm, i wonder what a good name for it would be, the portable nes, that is. Nesp...nesp....nesp...
