Desktop computer RGB problem

Post by thehackerinside »

Just wanted to see if any of you can help me with my computer which now has a big problem after a storm we had last night (The computer was working fine beforehand). The display it's self if fine as when I brig up the OSD it has R,G and B but the computer is only showing G and B but no red at all. I've checked all the settings and such but nothing has fixed it. Another weird thing was that the computer was unplugged, Could of it still received a surge.

Specs:

AMD Athlon XP 1800+
Windows XP Pro SP3
512mb Ram
GeForce 6200, 256mb, APG 4X.

I will try the grahics card in another computer later today as I suspect that is the problem, A big thanks too anyone that could help me.

Joe

P.S I am using the computer right now.

If the OSD has the proper colors and the signal from the PC does not, I suspect the cable. I bet that the storm had nothing to do with it. Check the pins in the connectors, wiggle stuff around, etc. If you see the red start to flicker you'll know exactly where the problem is.
