Journey to the centre of the earth 3d

Went to see this last night. Always enjoy the 3D thing and was thinking how good it would be to implement it into video games. What do you think?

while this isn't exactly what you're thinking of, it was done years back with the NES, i believe. I don't remember what game it was, but it was a racing game. And yes, it would be cool.

I wonder how hard the programming would be for a true 3d experience with a modern game, though.
