If you mod it enough I'm sure. I don't think something like changing the color of the buttons will be clear it for entry. If you were to take a Gameboy and transplant it in a new/different case, sure why not?
What I'm going to do I'm still kind of stuck between making it a portable or just a nice mod. Well have to see how much work I get into it. Hopefully I get motivated and get working soon.

i agree with this. and even if some think you shouldn't be allowed to, i say still enter it. you never know how the people will vote! and besides, i think it'd be cool to see just how many portables/mods can be pumped out in this 6 week period.Sparkfist wrote:If you mod it enough I'm sure. I wouldn't agree with this, but I believe most people will give a 'thumbs up' on this and I don't really care at this pointlovablechevy wrote:i agree with this. and even if some think you shouldn't be allowed to, i say still enter it. you never know how the people will vote! and besides, i think it'd be cool to see just how many portables/mods can be pumped out in this 6 week period.Sparkfist wrote:If you mod it enough I'm sure. So let me get this right.... you whine about us not liking your ideas, so you shoot down everyone else's? I really agree with Chevy: Let's see how many mods we can accomplish in this time frame. I think that's going to be the best thing about this. Frankly, I couldn't care less about winning. I want to prove to myself what I can do, and enjoy the results. It's just that if modding something already handheld didn't count, I'd put that project off for later.Joes2Silly wrote:I wouldn't agree with this, but I believe most people will give a 'thumbs up' on this and I don't really care at this point

There's a pretty nice sale going on at http://www.all-battery.com right now. Just so happens to be at the same time we got this little competition going on... How nice.
Also, http://www.batteryspace.com is having a good sale. I would recommend these beauties for those needing some SNES, Genesis, or Atari batteries. 2 of them side by side match the size of the Retro Duo's motherboard almost perfectly. Hmm, imagine that...

Update!
My Portable that I am entering is complete. But I am not submitting it yet. I'm going to make sure that everyone has something pretty to look at. And, I get to use a high definition camera! So I gotta make sure that everthing is flawless.
