Just a question... right now my SNESp is using composite output to the screen for video. I'm using the original model, and I've heard that it can output RGB without any mods. If it does, can I use RGB instead of composite to output video to my sony PSOne screen? Also, which pins would the RGB be on the SNES? I've only got 4/5/6 for RGB-in on the screen on slot 1. And do I need to do anything with this C-Sync input?
Also, on an unrelated note, I want to relocate the controller. I wanna make it landscape-style, but I don't wanna do all that crap in Ben's book; rather, I want to just scrape the pads and solder the switches right to those. I'm hoping those would be fine, but here's the thing: I, of course, need to get 12 tact switches for this. I was looking on digikey, but I swear to god, there were at least 300 matches for "tact switch". I have absolutely no clue which ones to get. The ones I want are the same as ben's, ones that will plug snugly into a breadboard.

If you want a little better illistartion, go to gamesx.com. They have a picture and a better diagram of the SNES A/V port.

Ok, so if I want my SNES (NTSC SNS-001) to connect to a monitor through RGB, what all do I need to connect? This is going to be a direct soldering job, so its not connecting to a VGA cable or anything.
What I think I know:
Connect Composite Sync (pin 5 SNES) to Composite Sync (pin 13 VGA)
Connect RGB Blue (pin 6 SNES) to 200uf capacitor to RGB Blue (pin 1 VGA)
Connect RGB Blue (pin 11 SNES) to 200uf capacitor to RGB Blue (pin 3 VGA)
Connect RGB Green (pin 12 SNES) to 200uf capacitor to RGB Green (pin 2 VGA)
Questions:
Do I need to connect any grounds? Which ones?
Is it easy to trace the pins back to the SNES motherboard? Could I possibly get a picture to show what is what on the mobo itself?

NTSC SNES setup:
Rgb - pin 1 - add 200uf capacitor
rGb - pin 2 - add 200uf capacitor
rgB - pin 4 - add 200uf capacitor
audio right - pin 12
audio left - pin 11
C-sync (composite) - pin 9
Remove video plug and connect directly to the connections.
Ground is ground is ground. Connect a ground point from screen to console.

edit: you have c-sync as pin 9 while i've read in another schematic that pin 9 was composite video while pin 3 was c-sync. http://www.hardwarebook.info/SNES_A/V
Should I be using the composite video as the sync instead of the c-sync?
