i hacked up an old pair of headphones ofer the weekend, and made a pair of portable speakers out of tic--tac boxes. Gotta love those things. Plastic project cases for only 50 CENTS!
When in Japan with access to just about every system ever made and those that have yet to see international soil, gather your forces, and make the cool ones your own.
not quite yet. They're pretty ugly at this point. However, they vibrate so much when the sound is turned up that if you press them against a flat surface, the sound quality improves.
You will probably need to make a mini-amp for it. (probably out of a Tic-Tac box, to keep with the "poor-man's case" motif.)
You see, Nintendo is fixated on keeping retarded end users from tearing their systems apart and killing themselves, and keeping us hardware pioneers out of their precious circuitry. They also want to keep us from blowing our eardrums out from loud noise. So, they only put out so much juice through the headphone jack. You will need to get/build some kind of amp to power those puppies.
Thats good, I need to make speakers for a portable I'm making, its kept hidden at the minute, I need a screen, and I've finished, but nobody here knows what it is (hint: I think nobody here has ever made one portable)
