whats the maximum voltage a ps1 screen can take? and the lowest the original Super Nintendo can take?

Uh...

SNES: 7.2v is the lowest
PSOne Screen: 9v is typically the highest

I think it's 9.6v for the PSOne screen, but I wouldn't go past 9.

For the SNES, I don't know about the board itself (which requires 5v) but often power is supplied through a 7805 linear regulator which usually needs above 7v to operate correctly.

I am using a full-sized SNES board in my current project; inputting 7.4v directly to the 7805, which outputs about 4.6v-4.7v as I recall. You could therefore input 4.7v-5v directly to this point and remove the 7805 if you wanted, although you must ensure your voltage remains constant of course.

ok so yeah im building this thing into my cars glove box haha so uhh...
i have a car adaptor that gives me 9 volts so i can run it all off that orr should i get a weaker one?

Assuming that the 9v output is a regulated output, then it should be just fine. If, however, the voltage spikes at any time above 9v then it might fry your screen. Since you'll be feeding the power to a 7805 for the SNES, it will be fine no matter what.
