i emailed nintendo and asked how much of the N64 game library uses the D-Pad and they said about 30% of the games do so you are bound to run in to one like mission impossible and older games like that

I must say, ben you're being a bit of an idiot from your comparison.

there are only TWO ports on the entire DS. TWO. TWO!!!! that's not a lot! and neither are straight ports! they have addons! like minigames, and new characters and things!

I'm a fanboy and proud of it, goddammit.

this has been a rant from your local yalborap, who shall now go back into lurking. if you want to continue this, I reccomend yalborap@gmail.com, which I check far more often than here.

It's true. I mean, look at the GBA, which has ports of every other Mario title on it. They even re-ported the first SMB, which already came out on GBC! Still, I'm gonna hold off awhile on getting a DS or a PSP, because I play my Wonderswan more than my GBA (its battery lasts longer, among other things).

This just got u-g-l-y. I would comment, but I'm torn. Nintendo is the the port-king, but I don't know if the DS is the example of that. I'd say the GBA is. Bu then again, what do I know. I post the report when I'm done. Some of you know what I mean.

This is response to yalborap.

The DS hasnt been out very long, it doesnt even have what 20 titles released? The fact that the launch title of Super Mario 64 is more or less a port. They added some stuff to it but that doesnt change the fact its still a port at heart.
