Odd Super Nintendo I found

I don't have picture of it..... Yet I found it at Goodwill yesterday

It looks exactly like a normal discolored SNES, but this one weighs slightly more (might be from the separate APU Unit), and had a 3 wired cord coming out through the EXT port through the hole in the plastic casing, they are Red Black and White wires.

I am having a hunch that it is a power cord, but why 3 wires.
And I don't have a gamebit to open it to check what it is without destroying the case

I would try needle nose pliers but those holes are just too damn deep.

EDIT: I just took my Multi-meter to the Red and black wire and I picking up 5v with the system on, and nothing when off but still plugged it, still havn't figured out the white wire.

if someone is willing to donate a gamebit it would be much appreciated

Red, black, and white sure sounds like electrical supply. The white might be another ground.

Gamebits go fairly cheap on e-Bay.

That is what I was thinking the white wire was, I just don't know.

I Think I will order a gamebit off Ebay since I need one anyway, plus I got a SNES that doesn't work but has the shell with the plastic that doesn't discolor.


It may be a regional mod, but why not just a switch instead of plug that looks like it was for power. It doesn't boot any games either, it will act like it is going to boot the game but it doesn't, the power LED turns on too, and the cart connector looks as clean as they can get.

The connector on the end looks like a larger version of those fan connectors that connect fans to computer motherboards.
