Making your own Guitar Grip for GH:On tour

Well I just opened up my Guitar Grip to see what kinda circuitry it had, and it has no ICs AT ALL, all the buttons are wired up to a a couple a surface mount resistors or something that have the numbers 271 on them, and from there just connect to a 5 different pins to the GBA slot and the another is ground.

if only someone can find the values on those surface mounts.

i will take pics and post them soon.

I guess till then just discus it.

don't forget that you are paying for the programmers that figured out the interface between the ds slot 1 and slot 2 (not that hard, castlevania already nailed it)

Also you pay for the marketing, and the STYLUS! and this and that and then $10 doesn't seem that much, not to mention assembly costs, and ergonomic engineers, overpaid of course

Don't forget to mention that diy stuff almost never looks as good as store bought stuff.

Oh, now that's what I call clever... They've probably just hooked up the buttons to the data bus, so that all you have to do is to read from the slot 2 memory area and interpret the bits. Which would make it very easy to interface for homebrew software.

By your logic, x360, and Wii games should only cost $3, because that's how much it costs to manufacture the disc, case, and booklet.

Tried it out today and I'm not impressed. It's harder than heck to get a good grip on and my wrist was throbbing halfway through one song. If I ever do spring on a DS I won't be getting GH.
