From the sound of M$ conference they are moving more casual. As I said before consoles will be the land of casuals and PCs will be the hardcore crowd.

E3 is sucking a big one this year. Besides Fallout 3 (Which im flipping excited for) its been a big let down.

I think that might have saved Sony's press conference as I wasn't to surprised until that. Even if it doesn't release for 1-2 years from now.

Only things I cared about this E3.

Nintendo's
Wii Speak
Animal Crossing
GTA for DS
and the New GH:OT for DS

M$
Fable 2
Fallout 3
I still have yet to watch the whole press conference.

Sony's
MAG
and maybe that New God of War

Sony also at least has a video service now to compete with M$ and Netflix. It may not be the greatest but I think I can see my sister renting movies off of her PS3 instead of running to the store. Also is the announcement of the 80gb "core" model meaning that it is exactly the same as the current 40gb just has a 80gb hard drive?

Imagine how this would impact things like clans. Now instead of small clan vs clan games you would get some kind of clan alliance. Basically what I am saying is that the out of game clan structure would have to evolve to reflect the in-game command structure.

It would be really cool if some kind of RTS like metagame was based off of this, but that is putting the cart before the horse.

Hardcore gaming always was and always will be on a PC. Try knocking World of Warcraft off of its throne and getting away with it.

FPS, RTS, and MMORPGs represent what I think of as Hardcore gaming, and the best experience for all of the above? On a PC.

I'm not going to turn this into a PC vs. Console War, but seriously, Console gaming is going Casual and will be that way until everyone gets bored of it and a new concept is introduced.

I'm glad Nintendo is offering voice chat, but I think the implementation kinda sucks. I'd much rather have a headset or something of that vein. The Motion-whatever will be cool, but they really shoulda done that from day one, just like the headset. Oh well. The lack of any first party titles besides goddamn Animal Crossing sucks, too.

It's all riding on High Voltage now...
