I am trying to build my own NESp with one of those Super Joy things and I have most of it figured out except there is a switch of the main board and i have no idea as to what it does.
Also on a related note are there any detiled instructions on how to do the screen hack for the casio tv screen and do you just run them both parallel of 4 AAs or a rechargeable of equivalent Voltage or is there a certain way to do it?
And while Im at it can you just wire a nes controller directly to the main board and does anyone have both the pinouts? [/img]
Im not sure but I think one of the traces goes to the red wire that leads to pin 30 (+5v) on the cartridge slot and the other goes to the wire on the ribbon cable closest to the switch. It seems to be in the off position and was like that when i cracked it open. Do you think it is supposed to enable cartridge games ? Like some kind of easy workaround that bypasses the build in games or something like that because thats my best guess.
Its a switch to turn off and on the games. if you flip it one way and turn the NOAC nothing will happen. Switch it the other way and the games menu will come up.
When a cartridge is in it automatically goes to the cart. the switch has nothing to do with the cart though. it just turns the games on or off. When i bought mine i plugged it in and turned it on and it just had a blank blue screen, I moved the switch and turned it back on and the games loaded.
