EPOXY!!!

(A lot of stuff which I have to sand)

Heres an Interesting idea I have of how I will charge my portable...

I ordered 6 NIMH cells which I will wire in series to provide a decent amerage at 7.2 volts, the 7.2 will lead out to the PSone screen and I will jack the 5 volts off of the screen to go to my Retro Duo....

And to create a charge jack, I'm gonna use a headphone jack! Very very small...

I'm going to go ahead and say it...

I think you are using too much epoxy. Unless you are going for a textured/burnt skin look you should probably be carefull. Epoxy isn't exactly that easy to sand!

Well this epoxy is really hard to control... and yeah I know it will take FOREVER to sand all this.. but i'll do it... haha... I think i'm gonna use a dremel to get the major stuff off then 40/80/160/600 grit (in that order).. .shouldn't be TOO bad...

For sandpaper, I wouldn't use 40 grit if your going to use a dremel first. Also, 160 to 600 is way too big of a jump. Go from 160 to 320 first at least. It would be a lot easier and quicker and you would save tons of 600 grit sandpaper. The sanding doesn't sound bad until you've put 10 hours into it already, your not even half done, and you've used twice the sandpaper you thought you would. lol.

The dremel is gonna be used for getting those MASSIVE glomps and anything that kinda 'sticks out', 40 grit is to get the wide stuff off.

I got my new one the other day.. and I just now.. wait for it.. wait for it...

SUCCESSFULLY RELOCATED THE CART SLOT. !!

One problem is that Starfox doesn't work... but it never worked with the original cart slot either.. so I dont really know the problem.. it worked on my previous retro duo!

I plan on being done with this by next week... and i need to get pictures of the (FINISHED!!) case..

that's odd... i've never heard any reports of star fox not working on a retro duo...

I have it all hooked up and working.. but the speakers that I tried to trim up some are horribly messed up.. and my battery pack needs re-done.. then i should be done!!

Did you find it hard to relocate the cart slot? I personally find it quite quick and easy; in N64 and SNES.

Cart slot relocation has never been hard, just long and annoying.
