diodes...?

hey guys! i'm hoping you can help me out here.

i'm having to use some diodes for a project, but i've never used them before. and i have no clue how to figure out what type i need. i need them just to keep current going one way. and there is only +5v involved.

would these be ok?

thanks. the only thing about that is i need quite a few of them... and i'd like to keep costs as low as possible.

would all of them from this assortment work...?

probably. You are only passing 5V at what amperage?

To hell with Radio Shack, unless you're only buying one or two individual components. In which case their insane markup won't surpass shipping costs from Jameco.

at mouser.com you can get diodes for less then a nickel depending on the type and size.
