im curious about the pinout on the universal noac sheet for wiring fami to nes.. why is column one the upper side of the board and part 2 the bottom side? is this to prevent shorts?

it's too blurry for me to really be able to tell... do you have a multimeter? you can always test for continuity to make sure that you have them marked out correctly.

i'm not exactly sure what you mean by this. do you mean how they show in the pic to rewire a 72 pin nes slot to a 60 pin famicom board...? if that's what you mean, you you need to wire it to the bottom just for ease. otherwise all of your wires will need to cross each other like the diagram shows. this is so you don't have to put the nes games in backwards. for some reason, the famicom cartridge slot and cartridges are backwards to the nes cartridge slot and cartridges.

i also have a document called "the difinitive noac pinout" which has this on it...

picked up new solder tips and on top of that my zenith xbox screen came today. WOW its a psone board but with lots of adhesive and a few added parts. the adhesive is a major p.i.t.a. but the rest is easily wireable. for now im going to work on my genesis p

hiya guys,
SJ3 arrived today, which is easily worked as opposed to the "penguin NOAC" i had.

a quick question.. is there an easier way to attatch a cart slot aside from bens cart slot hack?? it was a bit rough on the hands and i lost a pin on my first connector
