You've done it! You made it to Engadget.

Congrats and Engadget didn't down you like they seem to do to everyone else!

Congrats Bacteria! Shame about the idiotic comments. Good publicity though.

Why did 6 people feel the need to say "The cake is a lie"?

I also enjoy how a bunch of people said 'it is ugly' then when Bacteria showed up everyone started to comment on how amazing it is. Bacteria, you must possess some kind of intimidating online presence.

Thanks for the thread, thehackerinside, appreciated! Very kind of you!!

ghosstt - Yes, getting good flow. Thanks! I posted to Engadget and shortly afterwards it was on their site (also appeared on Ben's front page as "Mod of the week" at about the same time (many thanks, Ben!). Within hours of this I had had 3000 hits, it is now 6589 at the moment - coming on nicely!! If all of them looked at my N64 guide and video that would have used about 43Gb of bandwidth (reality is probably more like about 30-35Gb in total, over just a few hours)! Good thing I got unlimited bandwidth with my provider (at least, at the moment!!)

I will be uploading this to YouTube in the next hour or so, it will be interesting to see how they get on with this project.

Negative_Creep - First comments on Engadget were rather pathetic and childish, before I posted there, and then people suddenly grew up. Perhaps my opening line in the comments helped to focus their minds.....

mothatrucka - Thanks, agreed. I am more interested in the hits and the fact that many are looking rather than a few idiots who post about "cake" or whatever!

gamemasterAS - Eventually, yes; got there in the end!

Chapel - As Francis Urquot said in "House of Cards": "You might think that, but I can't possibly comment"

minkster - Thanks; and yes!

ShockSlayer, or should I say "imnotshockslayerbacteria!" as you used in your reply on Engadget - thought this was funny, and subtle!!

SNES will be next add-on, hoping to start it in next days.

Aguiluz - Thanks!

I had hoped Joystiq and Hack-a-Day would have posted an article, haven't do far (unlike Engadget); never mind!!

Wow, congrats man! I haven't been following your progress on this system, unfortunately, so this is the first I heard of the whole "systems-as-cartridges-that-snap-into-the-A/V/controller-shell" thing. Would you believe me if I told you I had that idea first? Image Seriously! My jaw dropped when I saw your design! But, I digress. It doesn't matter who thought of it first, it matters who actually builds it first. Image

Nice work, seriously. Not trying to take away from your creativity or anything, just trying to say that I guess great minds think alike.

Electric Rain - I got the impression from a couple of comments several months ago when I posted my pre-project start in Forum 42 that a number of people have had a similar idea, in various forms over recent years; however an idea is only an idea after all; I seem to be the only person to have actually MADE one. Making one is the key!!

If anyone hasn't been able to see the video on my website, I have it also now on YouTube.

YouTube Video

-- Another 300 hits on my site in last couple of hours - slowing down now (hope not) ?? --

Yes, very true. For me, the reason I haven't carried out 98% of my projects really only comes down to $$$, though that's nobody's problem but my own, I suppose. Image
