SNES mini, no video

Post by Sparkfist »

Ok I've got a problem with my SNES mini, namely the video. When I turn it on I see a flicker, but the screen stays blank. I also am not getting any audio, but really I want to try and get video working first.

So should I check something, or what? Never had to work on an SNES before.

i think if you're getting the initial flicker that the video is working. I'd double-check the cartridge connections.

Yeah thats what I would say. Try feeding it some video signal that is known to work.

I had that problem on my Super NES Mini as well due to a bent pin on the cartridge slot. Use a very fine craft knife or flat-head screwdriver to bend it back in place. It should work afterwards.

Cool thanks guys. I'll check out the pins out and see about that. If that doesn't work I'll try using that RF switch I got, though I don't want to use it if I can help it.

I actually have this exact problem right now. I am going to resolder the cart slot and see what happens.
