Charging lithium cells

Post by Gordon1 »

Hi, I'm looking at making a 7.4v battery. I have two 6350mah cells wired in series, and a PROTECTION CIRCUIT. My only concern is with the stupid charger. I don't want to pay $24 for some piece of crap. So, my question is; could I use a charger designed for a 7.4v li-po battery on my two cells. click
This charger is designed for a 7.4v lithium battery and only has two contacts for positive and negative (not one in the middle a lot of charger have, which is good because this is not a camcorder battery).

cant use battery space, they don't ship to me. This charger outputs the same amount of current as one of those, but is $15 less.

EDIT: and that was not the question. I am not idiot and am aware of the things I need for lithiums. I have already used them once. I just need an answer for the question I have posted.

Another Edit: You even posted in my thread saying I can't buy from battery space.

Well your link dosent work.

Anyways, any charger designed for charging a 2-cell (7.4v) pack should be fine. Things like camera battery chargers with a third wire (usually some kind of serial data like I2C) are only designed to work with the circuitry inside of the associated battery packs.
