This protection circuit would work right?

This protection circuit would work right?

Post by Neildo_64 »

I have 4 Li-ion cells that I would like to buy a protection circuit for. I fried the original pcb, but the batteries are fine. Would any 7.4V protection circuit work? Like these. 2 cells are wired in parallel, as are the other 2, and then they are wired in series.

With 4 Li-ions, you'd need a 4 cell protection circuit, or 2 separate 2-cell ones.

Any cell designed for a Li-Ion will work on a Li-Ion. Straight-forward, no? The circuits are designed for the battery chemistry, not the individual batteries.

Yup, either of those would work.
