anyone know what this is? I do it's really a PS2 special edition and some poeple call it the ps1?

You spastic. PSX is both the codename for the original PlayStation (PlayStation eXperiment) as well as the name for the PS2/Media Center combo unit.

Yes. PSX was what Sony called PlayStation internally. The PSX (the TiVo-type thing/DVD recorder/PS2) has gone through umpteen models here. I was gonna get one before the 70000-series PS2 came out, but then just gave up cuz I couldn't tell what the differences were and all. They always have 160GB and 250GB versions though.
I wish Sony didn't call it the PSX. It just confuses people. Then again, no one really should be calling the original PlayStation PSX either.

I wouldn't call that a "put down" anyway. He was just saying that the subject was already mentioned. People probably should use search more often before posting.

Example: PS2 and PStwo

Guy 1: Hey did you see the new PStwo

Guy 2: What are you, retareded or somehting? That's years old!
