Ok I am trying to install a USB hub on my 40gb PS3 (internally)
Here is the problem, the hub is powered via mini USB cable to a normal USB. I solder the connections on the PS3's USB plate, and just connect them to the mini USB wire which connects to the USB HUB.
However it seems that there is not enough power going through to the USB hub for it to power as the LED light on the hub is very dim, versus when plugged into a PC it is very bright.
Any ideas what the hell is wrong? I cant understand why the USB hub will power....
Help power a USB hub!
