AOAC???

i was at walmart and spotted one of these guys on clearance, they are so small they fit in the palm of your hand... i didnt buy it (it was $9, but thats $9 i dont have cuz of my stupid genesis-p) but i hid it

so i can go back for it another time. ther are 3 models, 2 different joystick ones and 1 paddle.
i think, like the NOAC, a cart slot can be attatched.. the problem. which one and how?
if i go to buy this, i will definitely post updates and pics. luckily i had a camera phone on me... here's the box...

I don't think those things have cartridge compatibility. They're pretty bare-bones inside.

From what I have read they are very cheap and easy to break. They make better Christmas ornaments than video game systems.

Those are not AOACs unfortunately. The games are clearly not the orginal versions. The joystick is fragile, but the paddle is fairly robust. The engineer that made the FlashBack2 was contacted to make these, but his design was too expensive, so they used a vastly inferior design to make there price point. Additionally, $9 is a bit steep, as these have been out for years now, and the last one I bought I paid $5 for.

Still, pretty useful info. If nothing else, add a small screen and universal battery to have a very limited Atari Emulator. In any case, I think you can get a flashBack for about $10 now.

Really what they would make best would be second controllers for a VCSp. The guy that made the C64 laptop converted on into a joystick and uses that for games. And if these things can be had for only $5, it's about the same for a big used one of ebay (no including s/h).

Still you could make a very small portable.

I got an Atari Flashback recently at a car boot sale for Â£5, it has 20 games built in including three I have great memories of - Breakout, Air Sea Battle and especially Adventure - played this a lot in my youth!

Not opened it up yet, but it works on the included joysticks, rather than paddles. This makes it good for a portable for two reasons - some of the best games on the Atari on it and also you can use a D-pad.

Not the FB One. That hack only works for the FB2s.
