Generally speaking, rechargeable standard-size battery cells are all 1.2v.
This should have been apparent if you've ever looked for rechargeables before.
What do you need these for, anyway? They're going to hold even less than AAAs, maybe 750mAh if you're lucky.

Do they absolutely have to be rechargeable? A single 9v battery will have 6 batteries in it.
Taking a rechargeable 9 volt apart is probably your best bet, and the slight decrease in battery life is worth the long-run savings of rechargeable batteries. (You'll have to make an adapter of some sort to charge it with a AA/AAA charger.)
Or he could, you know, get a corded headset and never have to worry about batteries again.
