Where to get thin metal strips?

In the book it has these metal strips that can be bent and made into the side of the case, I want some to use for the cartridge connector but cannot find them anywhere locally.

I don't know what I would be looking for online, does it even have a proper name?

Strips of aluminum.

They are at Lowes and Home Depot in the section with all the metal.

Nearly any hardware store has them. If you want a slightly fancy look go to the carpet bar section. Solid aluminum in silver or gold and there's hammered or ribbed ones.

Also called bar stock or flat stock.

Got a Menards near by? Just about any hardware store should have that metal in stock.

Get the thinnest metal you can get or you will have a hard job bending it!

I have never been to a hardware store and not seen it. Even the small ACE thats right down the street has a good selection of raw materials.

How long of a piece do you need? I have some scraps laying around I could probably part with. If it's a foot or under shipping should be pretty cheap.
