if any of yall know how to program robots or are into robotics add me because i am so determined to build a real working wall-e seriously if you know what parts i shold use and what programing program i should use plz post ur ideas below thx

ben heck if you could make me a real working wall-e i would but it from u plz make one heh you could even pragram it to play video games with you lol plz make one anyone else is welcome to help

Sounds fun and stuff, but you're going about asking completely the wrong way. First off, use full and complete sentences. It makes you sound extremely bad when you just ramble and have lots of typos and numbers in your words. Second, you need to have more detail in your project than "Build me one of these or show me exactly how to build one." I mean, you need to think about it first, and find out if it is even reasonable. I'm not being negative or anything, I'm just telling you these to make your experience on the forums much more enjoyable. No one likes a ramble-blabbering n00b.

srry man i just like using stuff like omg and wtf srry but next time ill be more specific. I have seen videos on wall-e's that have already been made , but i want to build one that is made out of metal or plastic and not wood i want to be able to program him to do certain tasks and be able to sense humans and comunicate with people and help out with things it is practical

Sorry, I was unsure exactly what you wanted. If you just wanted something that looked like Wall-e but did something useful (like vacuum your living room) then reading up on case modding and building a custom case for a Roomba would be your best bet.

If you want something that will think and act independently, you might want to look into something like this

What you ask for is currently impossible. Play video games with you? Current robots can barely pick stuff up off the ground.

First off, have you even started middle school yet? You type like the stereotypical 11 year old on AOL. That doesn't help us take you seriously.

What you're asking is far beyond today's technology. There's a reason WALL-E takes place 700 years in the future (and, yaknow, it's a work of fiction). Even getting robots to semi-autonomously do things takes engineers countless lines of code and millions of dollars. (We're nowhere near full autonomy or self-awareness yet.)

The best we have so far that would bear any resemblance to what you want is Honda's ASIMO. (No, they're not for sale.) We're still a long ways off from having truly sentient artificial beings.

At the most you might be able to make a robot that can play PONG or maybe Asteroids with you, because such games require monitoring basic light shapes. (And I think someone on Hack a Day already made a PONG robot.)

If you understand that equation, you're one step closer to being a robotics engineer! (Not to mention a more openly accepted member of e-society.) All you have to do now is finish school and get a doctorate in that field.

I recommend playing with Lego robotics, and then you'll see just how hard it is to make anything practical.

i am 13 sorry for the low details i just want him to be programmable i was exagerating about the playing video games sorry look up real wall-e on youtube then click the video wall-e in L.A.
