Looking for some info on GH controllers...

I've got a broken React brand wireless guitar and pedals. The problem is it doesn't connect with the PS2. I'm interested in bypassing the wireless transmitters and making this a wired setup. I have a wired guitar I can sacrifice so the guitar should be the easy part. Since I know what each pedal does, in theory i should be able to run wires to the appropriate switch on the guitar's mobo. Has anyone heard anything that would make this not work? I haven't found anything on Google or anything about this but it seems fine to me.

In case your wondering I know the pedals will need multiple wires. I plan on using USB or Cat 5 cable and building a jack into the guitar so the guitar can be used with or without pedals.
