XBox 360 or PS3?

Hello Everyone! I've finally decided to delve into this generation of video game consoles. My sister has a wii but I would like to get either a ps3 or 360. So I have to ask all of you which is better? I like mainly platformers and rpgs. Which system will deliver the most for it's money? I need your opinions so let me know. Thank you!
