Xbox 360 contoller in a Sixaxis shell?

Well, first, I'd like to say that I'm not very good with this kind of stuff, but I bet you guys would know how to do something like this

.

What I'm wondering is, has anyone thought about making a reverse of Ben's PS360 controller, so that it is a 360-compatiable controller in a Sixaxis shell, for those PS fans who are used to the smaller Playstation controllers? And if they did, how would they do it? Would it even be possible, or has anyone already done this?
Also, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I wasn't sure where exactly it should go.

I dare say it's possible... BUT... it would be one hell of a re-wiring job.

The PS3 controller is a real sob to put back together once cracked open (quite literally) and everything fits in perfectly, whereas the PS3 control going into the 360 shell provides a fair amount of space to work with.

The main trouble I think would be getting the new parts around the analogue trigger sections, and then there's the rest of the control to sort out! Plus the battery shape and size, the 360 battery is twice the size of the PS3 one, and also the thumbstick positioning...

All in all a very trick mod! ...

The 360 controller's board is wider than the Ps3's shell.

If you really had your heart set on this, which I don't know why.. You'd have to cut the board up, solder each trace together, and stack them inside. Even that's a big maybe, might even have to lose the rumble.

There are mini 3rd party 360 controllers.

madcatz do one called the microcon... it's a bit smaller but still too big to just implant the parts into a PS3 pad =)

It can and has been done.

Wired controller though, no way is a Wireless board fitting in a Sony shell without redoing the board from scratch and transplanting every part, but even that's doable if ya have the resources.

about 90% sure thats just xbox360 buttons and the exact same internals as a regular ps3 controller.

Then you're about 90% wrong, since I made the thing. The PS3 board is still in there, but it's been stripped of every component and is only used as a 'place holder' for the sticks and connector because of the way it plugs into the daughter board. It's the same basic setup I use as the 360 S, 360Duke and PS360 controllers I've done. The thing is a Wired 360 controller in a PS3 shell, if ya don't believe me ask the guy that's been using it for the past couple weeks to play Marvel Ultimate Alliance on the 360.
