I'm trying to get the white silkscreen off of an official n64 controller board. Is there any way to remove this stuff? I'm thinking of nail polish remover.

I seem to recall someone at work saying they tried cleaning a board with 409 and it smeared the silkscreen all over. I'm not positive on that, but if you've got some lying around it'd be worth a shot. Just try it somewhere where it won't do too much damage if it takes off more than the silkscreen. Acetone/nail polish remover might work too, but again, test it to make sure it doesn't take off the soldermask too.
