After finding a second NOAC at a flea market, I returned to my abandoned NESp project. The MAXXPLAY I am using ran on batteries originally, and i'm using a Intec ps2 controller screen. I've managed to successfully hook the NOAC to the screen, and now I need to get them both running on battery power, but I don't know what to do.
I know that the NOAC runs on about 5v.
I don't know how much voltage the screen uses, but the AC adapter claims to output 12v at 500ma.
I'm worried about how and where to ground the unit. If it's not being grounded through the AV, where does the portable get ground? Where should I put the negative power wire?
I'd like to have them running off of the same battery source, preferably something like AA Batteries. How do I accomplish this? How many batteries might I need? I'm completely lost and i'm not sure where to begin. I'm sorry if there is a battery and power megathread, i did not find one.
What battery/voltage/grounding do I need? (First time NESp)

I found this: http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php ... t=famigogo
Which seems to be using the same famiclone as I am, and what looks like the same screen. He's running it off of 4 AAs, or about 5 volts. It's safe to assume that the same would work for me, but i'm still worried about wiring it properly.
Do I simply ground to a screw apart from the circuitry?
Is it as easy as wiring the positive and negitives of the battery box to the + and - of the screens and NOAC? I was lucky to find the MaxxPlay for $5, I can't afford to drop another 20 into this project to get a new PowerJoy, i'm sort of broke. If I do this right, however, i won't have to buy anything else except a case.
