nes uses a 7805 so it should fry. Although I'm not sure how the rectifier handles the DC input :)

I guese mine are in a series.

I am using 9 volts because my aunt had no idea what a Li-ion was, so I said go ahead and get me 2 rechargable 9 volts and a charger. It will work alright.

It's fine. I actually run my NES off of a Genesis adapter.

yeah, 7805s can usually handle up to 36v, and the most that two 9v batteries can output is 18v if they were wired in series.....so that's why it didn't fry :)!!!!

I have them hooked up where the 2 negatives are together, and the 2 postitives are together. not where you take one negative to a postive.

oh, well that's parellel, which means it's still 9v, but the battery life is doubled :)...
