Pinout to the Dreamcast Controller Port Ribbon Cable anyone?

hi scene , does anyone know the Pinout to the Dreamcast Controller Port Ribbon Cable ?

I don't have the time to check at the moment, but I can tell for sure that pins 5, 7, 11, 13, 14 and 16 are ground. (Numbers took from the controller pcb, I dunno if it fits the actual order of wires in the ribbon.) I beleive, but I diN,t tested, that pin 1 is 3or5 v and pins 17,18, 19 might be 5v, I will check for those.

Many pins are actually data from the controller port.

hiya -=FamilyGuy=- , thats great info best yet.......my Port 1 on my Dreamcast doesnt work anymore because the Ribbon cable connector on the Motherboard has corrosion in it. Im looking to solder Kynar wire to the Ribbon cable then solder the wires coming off it to points on the Motherboard. Near the Ribbon cable connector its labeled 1 to 20 all i need is what Pin order the Ribbon Cable goes ........

If you look at the DC mobo so the av-out is close to you, the Controller-PCB is far from you, the pwr supply connector is at the right and the gd-rom connector is at the left: THEN YOU'RE RIGHT !

From what I could tell when looking at my own, I figure that each controller has it's own separate lines. Each controller is only five pins.

I think if you take the controller board and trace back to the connector, you should be able to figure out the pinout. Which likely will be nothing but Power-data1-data2-data3-ground, or some variation of that.
