Zelda II Question

Post by GoldenfrankO »

Which is rarer/worth more money? Gold Zelda II Cart or Gret Zelda II Cart? I'd really appreciate the help.

AFAIK, gray. I've never seen gray carts of the NES Zelda games in person.
Edit: and grossaffe: at least try to keep your responses productive

Had a conversation like this on a collectors forum. General consensus was:

Technically the Gold ones are more common than the gray ones (very true for Zelda 1, but pretty sure that also expands to Zelda 2), but plenty of casual collectors will just want the gold version because it is shiny. So, in the end, the two values are about the same.

I know I have no real issues finding one or the other, so I doubt there's much of a difference in any value between the two.

IIRC, and anybody correct me if I'm wrong, but the gold cart was issued after they sold 1 million gray carts. Same with the original Zelda, and why you may not be able to (ever?) find a gray one, as it was released first in Japan for some months, and then the US and Europe.
