my first portable project (atari)

I hav decided to make an atari 2600 portable
this may not be easy but with my soldering skilz it won`t be too hard (hopefully)
please share any ideas they`ll help me with the learning process


I'll be using the ag-85 case from polycase

update on progress
Pustom screen did not work so I am swiching to a zate 2.5" screen
I have cut the atari board down to size and desoldered the cart slot for relocation

Nice work.

I love how precise you are making the holes. Myself being a perfectionist about this kind of thing, I always cringe when I look at massacred cases with giant dremeled out holes. In my opinion, if you want the person to see wires and circuit boards, then make the case clear...

It's looking good so far. Let us know if you're using a mini joystick or a D-pad.

I'm using a PS1 joystick in my Atari portable too! Whenever it is that I get around to finishing it...

finished case (almost)
started wiring the controls
put in screen
lost some parts (opps)
thinking of naming it the agtari-85

Did you use the old composite mod or the new one? The old one has trouble with some screens (PSone screens, our living-room TV, maybe your 3" screen), but the new one seems more compatible.
