If I was in your position, I'd test my connections with a multimeter (or ohm-meter), and look for shorts. If you don't have a ohm-meter, you can use a fan or a led (<exactly>\<above> the right voltage) to see if the current actually flows in the circuits where it should.

I hope your Wii ain't dead man !

Just willing to help !

SS - your English is getting appalling! No excuse for sloppy language!

BTW - isn't a "laptop" something with a keyboard, rather than just a flip top??

I think a laptop is something that can rest in your lap...

What, like a brick, piece of wood, printer, wife, etc (ie anything pretty much) Image

A laptop in the normal sense is a computer (a console is technically a computer), with a flip-down or swivel screen, keyboard. Therefore you can have a C64 laptop, Dreamcast laptop, PS3 laptop, etc - otherwise it is just a portable with a flip down screen. Logical??

Thats called exploded view.

Bacteria: The wii does utilize keyboard support, so he could always install one at a later date.

I think a laptop is something that you normally operate in your lap or portable-like. No jokes please, I know there coming.

SS - Yes, that's better, English, not teenage text speak!

I didn't realize the Wii could use a keyboard - what would it be used for (excluding "chat")?

Following your expectation in the last line for a joke, here is a one-eyed monster, for no logical reason (ahem)... Image

I must admit I didn't know either that the Wii could support a (I guess USB) keyboard, but I know what I'd use it for: Browsing the internet :!:

Just try to imagine posting this actual post on the virtual keyboard with my wiimote, would take a decade and I would always hit the wrong key.

Maybe it can be used along with a mouse for fps also.

um... isn't one of the big advantages of the wiimote/nunchuck FPS?

Eventhough some may agree with you, I don't. I just think mouse+Keyboard is the best controls for a FPS game, as it's what I'm used too, it's natural and reflexive for me now. However, throwing my arms in every directions and getting a crosshair that's not always in the middle of the screen is something hard for me.

I think preferences are specific to each person, many may like wii better.

BTW I don't even know if it actually is usable on a wii for games.

I think the aim is too good on M&K, in real life, you don't get precision accuracy on a twitch.
