Northern Anime Festival (Canada/Ontario)

Hey guys. I think some of you may remember me mentioning this, last year on the forums. Well its time again.

Theres an awsome (yet small) anime festival being held at Durham College in Oshawa on June 28th to June 29th. I know theres a few people on the forums that are near this location, so why not stop by?

The admission price is $30 for the whole weekend. To see other admission prices per day, check the website.

I'm the head of Security there, this year and I'd really like to see some of you benheck-ians down here!

Some bands will be playing there also such as:

Spiders Kiss
Hoshi*Furu
Enchanter

Some guest stars such as:

The 404's (an improv group)
Les Major (Comic Book Artist)
Anthony Chau (Weapon and Armour Crafting)
Mark Dillon (Pianist who plays videogame music. Such as Chrono Trigger)

There will also be a video game panel/dicussion held by me at 11AM to Noon (EST) on June 28th.

There will also be a all day anime video room, and an all day videogame and videogame tournament room.

Not to mention a crazy rave/techno dance party at night on saturday.

This convention runs from saturday to sunday. So there will be fun both days! Theres also places to crash for people traveling long distances, and for volunteers. (Other people, who are locals but just dont want to go home, have to pay to stay. So, if your with in a 45 minute drive, and need a place to sleep for the night, I suggest you volunteer so you get a room.)

I reallty hope to see some of you canadians! (I know that spongey said he MAY come this year, if he wasnt busy. Yet thats a long travel from the states, sponge.)

Shoot man, but on the 28th I'll be making an even longer trek than Canada, going out to Hawaii (

I watched anime back in the day but when I hit high school I didn't have the time anymore and I thought some of them were getting repetitive and boring.

I don't really go for the anime. I usually go for the security experience, the fun, and the POCKY!

If I had the money to drive there I would. I'd love to go to an anime convention. But bigger then that is summer classes will be starting by then.

I'd love to come, but I've never even left the USA, and I don't see that happening any time soon. Maybe if I still lived in Michigan, but here in the middle of the state, it's quite a long drive.

Anyone coming? 1.5 days left until this happens. The schedule is up on the website (www.northernanime.com) if anyone wants to know. Its pretty interesting. I can't wait.
