What video game in the movie "Big"?

Post by Positron »

I remember in the beggining of the movie "Big" the kid plays a text-based game where he has to freeze a wizzard using a special wand but ends up freezing himself. Is this a real video game? If so, what is the title of it?

I think he was playing it on an Odyssey 2.

As I recall, the game had graphics like a storybook, typical old DOS type adventure game. The Odyssey was only pong type games or bouncing white blobs on the screen to "shoot".

Spent a while on Google, didn't find the answer although some people thought it was a remake, unreleased, of "Colossal Cave Adventure". No idea further though.

Interesting to know if anyone has the answer...

No, it was most definitely an old 8-bit computer setup, not a console.

IMDB seems to think it's Colossal Cave Adventure, but the screenshots don't seem quite right.

It was a Game that was made for the movie.

Basically just that one screenshot.

This was in the movie credits.
