You should be able to when it comes to the video types, but the reason you can't is that Ben's mod gives a kind of "unorthodox" method of video output :(

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

if the atari has an RF output than just get an RF to AV converter, and than you'd have to get some kind of converter that can convert the ps1 screen plug so you might just wanna stick with the small screen :P

Exept then the video would be crap, and the atari would be big 'cause you have to keep the rf modulator, and It still wouldnt be good, cause the psone screen has sync issues.

I don't want to be chased with soldering irons by "Ben fans," or be banned from these forums. But if I may just say so, who needs to use Ben's video mod? There are a few different mods out there. Wouldn't... say... the CD4050 mod work?

First that post was made when Ben had Guest posting enabled.
Second Ben's mod is very streamlined, with little extra crap. I'm sure if there were a better mod that worked for the PSone screen and Atari he wouldnt have invested all that time into making a new video mod.

Apparently his new composite mod works with the PSone screen, and those TVs the old mod wouldn't work on.
