Many modders here use the original controller ports, I think it makes more sense (if you need external controllers) to use small plugs and make an adapter; it makes the portable far smaller without the ports. It is only 3 connections after all for a controller to work.
Sorry for the inactivity, I've been swamped lately. The screen came in, and it will be sitting on my shelf 'till I can get time to do this project. Most likely will begin in a month or so when I get off from school.

At least you think that is the case you certainly use a lot of hot glue (and still have holes in the case!) as you say, all in good humour (or as you said before, RIP portable)
You should see the inside of the n64p he sold to gannonbanned. There was more glue and electrical tape the anything else. The wii portable is quite the step up in case quality though.
Still SS could probably answer any questions about building an n64p.
