WTT: Saturn AV cords.

Post by mothatrucka »

I have a pair of brand new Saturn stereo RCA cords. I'm interested in trading them for a pair of Genesis stereo RCA cords. Let me know if you have some to get rid of.

Bump. I'm willing to just buy the Stereo cords straight out, if you prefer.

Which Genesis? the 2nd model?

I don't think iit is an official cord either, because I just random found it in a pile of cords in my basement and I never grew up with a Genesis, but it fits, but the Red audio cord on it I think has some problems, I will need to double check that.

And it just so happens I need a Saturn a/v cable, and non of my local used game stores have anything other than stupid RF switches for $15 a peice.

Yeah, it's a 2nd Genesis. I don't mind if it's not official, as long as it fits.

These are the Saturn cables with the three RCA jacks, so they should work better than the RF things. PM me when you know for sure if the Genesis one you have works.

Bump. If no one wants to trade, I'll buy the cords. Just let me know if you have some.

It's actually cheaper to install RCA jacks for video and stereo audio in a Genesis than it is to buy a cable for it.

Hell, with the Genesis 2 AV pinout, you can simply make a cable with a few wires. All you need is left audio, right audio, composite video, and ground. It'll be ugly as sin, but cheaper than ramen, I guess.

And not to screw anybody else over, but never get rid of Saturn AV cables. Even if you don't have a Saturn, they're very difficult to come by in the wild.
This is the internet. It means nothing. Don't believe otherwise.

Yeah, I've been considering doing that with my Gen 2. I'm interested in the RCA cables so I can see if any of the Sega clones work with the 32X. I'll give this a few more days, but then I may try to rip into some RF adapters and see if it has the right pins.

Thanks for the info.
