GameBoy Color sound modification

So I'm trying to fit a GBC into a gameboy pocket case. so far this is goind great; the screwposts match up perfectly. The only issue is that the motherboard is a bit long. I began clipping off the ends of it after brutally removing the power in and headphone jacks as I never use them. After a quick jumper wire the gameboy still powered up, but the audio didn't work. Another quick jumper bypassed the headphone switch and the speaker was working.

I began to make the mobo smaller still, and then the audio stopped coming out of the speaker. Of course, the sound probably still works, but I'll need to get audio output from somewhere else on the board.

Anyone know where?

Keep in mind though that using this method, the output has a high impedance, which makes it unsuitable for headphones or a speaker. The ProSound mod as it's called was meant for connectig the GBC to a mixer or exernal amp.

Alright, I fixed it; it turns out that the entire bottom half was not getting the common ground (which prevented it from booting!) after a few jumpers, sound and the gameboy color itself work fine!

This project is crazy; I'm trying to get the motherboard to be smaller, as it still sticks out a bit. I may just go crazy with the bottom and let it stick out a bit, covering it in tape.

Does anyone know what that little daughterboard in the lower left corner does?
