I guess I could call it that. For frontlighting reflective LCDs without room for angled direct lighting solutions. Electroluminescent film is out; not building an inverter for a piece of $25 plastic.
Just need something I can use to spread light from LEDs across the screen in a suitable manner. Sanding LEDs to diffuse the light isn't terribly effective in small spaces and close ranges.
Recommendations for light guide material?
